PhotoQ Bookshop is glad to announce the launching event of Issue no. 2 of Documentum Volume 1: The Instagram Series. We are proud to host some of the founding partners, William Boling and Dawn Kim; some contributors to the earlier issue, George Miles, Buku Sarkar, Naveen Naqvi; and last but not least author and art historian Taco Hidde Bakker and artist Awoiska van der Molen will join the conversation to explore the text-image relationship on Instagram.

Documentum is a collaborative quarterly art publication presented by Fall Line Press (USA) & color photography pioneer and master Stephen Shore. It offers a new look at artistic creation and contemporary photography in relation to the cultural ephemera of our time.

The inaugural issue of Vol 1: The Instagram Series opened the dialogue about artists’ use of the photo-sharing platform as a central part of their practices. Guest-curated by Stephen Shore, Chris Rhodes, David Campany, William Boling, and Dawn Kim, the publication received international acclaim, notably from the New York Times Lens Blog (http://lens.blogs.nytimes.com/2016/03/15/documentum-instagram-newspaper-stephen-shore-william-boling/).

ISSUE no. 2: PICTURES & WORDS
The second issue of Documentum examines speci cally the serious play in the literary text-with-picture space found on the Instagram platform. Six artists and writers who use text and image centrally in their work have curated the issue.
