Pim Kops: Amsterdam

37,50

In 2009 Pim Kops purchased a small Leica digital camera which he always has with him. Hardly a day passes without him taking pictures of his beloved Amsterdam, much in the tradition of Jacob Olie, George H. Breitner, and Bernard Eilers.

His exhibition in 2014 was very well received. The photography will once again be on show at the Amstelkerk accompanying the release of his photobook of Amsterdam.

Beschrijving

Pim Kops (1957) started developing his own photos in the early seventies at high school in Amsterdam and in the darkroom of the photographer Cas Oorthuys.
Pim is a member of the Dutch band De Dijk and has been since the early eighties. He has recorded and toured with the band for over thirty years.
He’s made two albums with the Avalanche Quartet and performs with them when De Dijk are not touring.

In 1997, whilst still playing music, Pim rediscovered his love for drawing and painting. He exhibited three paintings at the Rembrandt 2000 exhibition in The Hague. His work has also been on display at the Boijmans Van Beuningen museum in Rotterdam and the Rembrandt House in Amsterdam.
