Photographer Sandy Kim’s work invokes historical references, specifically Nan Goldin and Cindy Sherman’s early self-portraiture, with a mix of classical American street photography and a very candid approach to the youth of San Francisco and New York City. In her underwear and topless, Kim places herself at the centre of various public spaces for this series, published as a large foldout poster. According to Kim, “We are always on display. Our lives are curated across an ever-increasing number of media and social media platforms… I put my life on display because I want to.
