Since Friday March 13, 2020, the World Press Photo House is no longer accessible to the public, and the same applies to the PhotoQ Bookshop there. World Press Photo thus follows the advice of government and experts in an attempt to limit the further spread of the corona virus (COVID-19) as much as possible.
For the customers, the measure means that there is no access to the store.
Sales through the webshop will continue.
On every working day we will send ordered books to the buyers.
In principle, we send orders that arrive before 4 pm the same day.
Do you need a book urgently?
Chat, email or call the store.
Then we look together to find a solution.

The PhotoQ Bookshop is a specialist store for photo books, especially of a journalistic, documentary and artistic nature. It often involves small quantities and specially designed books. Many are produced by small publishers, or photographers themselves, who publish the books.
We understand that online sales are useful, but visiting a real store, especially for photo books, is a great way to get ‘in touch’. Visitors can grasp books, browse, feel the cover and feel the paper, smell the ink, and judge the quality of the printed matter. The importance of that physical experience gives the photo book a good chance to survive as an important photographic medium in times when digital forms determine communication.
Since August 2019 the PhotoQ Bookshop is part of World Press Photo.
Edie Peters is the shop manager.
You can find the shop on the ‘Westergas’ in Amsterdam:
