Rob Becker made portraits of more than 100 photographers from 30 countries. It eventually led to the publication of the book How They Look – Photographers’ Portraits, which we present in the PhotoQ Bookshop at the World Press Photo House. Everyone is welcome!
With a great fascination for the human face, photographer Rob Becker decided to focus on one specific profession for his first monograph on portraits. The point of departure was the question: ‘Who are the women and men whose photos I have seen and admired? How do they look like?’
Portraits include Lynsey Addario, Michel Comte, Barbara Davidson, Todd Hido, Nadav Kander, William Klein, Peter Lindbergh, Raymond Meeks, Joel Meyerowitz, Daido Moriyama, Erwin Olaf, Anders Petersen, Robin de Puy, Sebastião Salgado, Martin Schoeller, Jacob Aue Sobol, Alec Soth, Albert Watson, Sanne De Wilde, Michael Wolf and many others.
At the presentation, Rob Becker will talk about the book’s creation and answer questions, not only from bookshop manager Edie Peters, but also from the other attendees. Afterwards, everyone can chat and enjoy book, beer, wine and soft drinks.
